From our practice
A few years ago, a woman called our firm. Her father had died. She knew he'd signed a will somewhere in our city — but she had no copy, no firm name, no idea where it was kept. So she called firms one at a time: did you prepare my father's will? We had no record of him. Months later, she called again. And again after that. Eventually we pulled a list of nearby firms and suggested she try those. We never learned whether she found it.
A lifetime of planning — and the will might as well not have existed, because no one knew where it was.
That's the problem SLDocs was created to solve.

Founder, SLDocs
Bimal Saraiya is an attorney and software developer. He created SLDocs after repeatedly seeing the same practical problem in legal practice: families often do not know where critical estate documents are stored when they need them most. His experience across law, software, and information management shaped SLDocs as a secure, long-term document vault.
Saraiya PLLC and SLDocs are separate businesses. SLDocs provides secure document-vault technology, not legal services.
Why SLDocs
Many wills are missing when they are needed most — sitting in a drawer no one knew to open.
When the moment comes, your executor submits a verified access request. Once approved, they can securely download the will, the trust, and the healthcare directive. Access is logged, and the documents are exactly where you left them. No filing cabinet. No 11pm call to a firm that closed at five.

You decide who — and when
Give a recipient access immediately, only on request, or only after a stretch of silence. Revoke any of it in one click. Document access is logged.
It outlives your lawyer
The vault is yours. Change firms, and it doesn't disappear with them.
Three steps
How it works
Upload your documents securely
Upload any estate planning document. Everything is encrypted before it’s stored and stays encrypted at rest. SLDocs decrypts it only as needed to provide the service, protect your account, support authorized recovery, or comply with law—for example, to send a fax or open a document for someone you authorized.
Choose who can access them
Invite your recipients, executors, or attorneys. Each person only sees what you want them to see.
Rest easy knowing they're safe
Your access rules help the people you choose reach your documents when needed, while SLDocs keeps them securely stored.
Pricing
